Last night at least 14 people were killed in a tornado in Central Florida. While tornadoes in Florida are not that uncommon in the spring and summer months, major storms causing this level of death and destruction in January and February are just plain weird and most likely the result of global warming. As close to 100% of the worldwide scientific community have come together and endorsed that global warming is real, some old global warming deniers are still around trying to convinced people that the whole idea of global warming is a hoax created by a bunch of liberal politicians.
From my limited knowledge about the subject of global warming I have been able to piece together some outline of what will happen to worldwide weather patterns as the Earth’s temperature continues to increase and that picture is not going to be a pretty one. Huge, out of season, tornadoes like the one last night in Florida will begin to become the norm and big rainfall years will be follow by decades of drought as global warming plays havoc on the four different seasons we have grown expect during our lifetimes.
The biggest debate still going on about global warming revolves around whether mankind or just a natural part of the changing patterns of Mother Nature caused the problem. Most of the scientific community has now said that it is the dirty habits of human beings that are causing these weird weather patterns and the increased warming of the Earth. Now that a consciences has formed about global warming it is in the entire worlds own self interest to try and do something about this problem and to clean up our act.
What must develop are hard-core ideas and a fair plan of action put into place to address this issue head on. In the past, ideas put forward to slow the expansion of global warming have revolved around rich industrial countries like the United States taking the lead while other less developed countries are allowed to continue to pollute the atmosphere. This idea is crazy because the problem of global warming is a worldwide issue that does not follow simple borderlines that most old-timers use to solve problems. A fair plan that everyone must abide by is the only way to solve this problem because it will take decades for any plan to even begin to work at solving this problem.
As everyone knows, the world is a pretty messed up place right now. There are groups of people and even nations that are totally focused on the destruction of others, so how all counties will be able to come together on the issue of global warming is something I can’t see happening in our present environment of hatred and bigoted attitudes. It is one thing for most of the world’s scientific community to agree that global warming is real and caused by the actions of man. It is something else entirely to get the world to listen and take the actions necessary to stop the polluting of this Earth and make changes that will benefit everyone in the long run.
