Gore Live Earth Global Warming Bomb

The latest figures I saw about the Saturday night "Live Earth" concert hosted by former Vice-President Al Gore put the U.S. audience for the show at around two (2) million people. Considering NBC television is available in about 100% of U.S. households, that figure while large would not be consider a successful audience number by any stretch of the imagination. Some people like Rush Limbaugh have made fun of Al Gore for years because of his prediction of "gloom and doom" over the issue of Global Warming. I too have my doubts as to whether man is the primary cause of Global Warming, but it is science that the Earth is heating up.

In a way, Al Gore and his Global Warming crusade is hurt by the same affliction effecting President Bush. Both men are weak in the public speaking department and while President Bush comes across as not very intelligent when he speaks, Al Gore sound like some type of big know it all when he stands up to talk about Global Warming. I did not watch Live Earth, not because the talent didn't interest me; instead I chose not to be preached to by the likes of Al Gore and other extreme leftest. The biggest problem with extremist on the far right and far left is that no matter how hard they try to come across as mainstream, eventually there true colors start to show and both extremist eventually start to look like crazy people.

Global Warming might be a huge issue, but as long as it is promoted by extremist politicians like Al Gore, millions of people are only going to see this movement as purely political. When noted scientist start beating on the doors of major television networks and newspapers demanding to be heard about the severity of Global Warming, instead of politicians that have an agenda; I then will believe that climate change is something to be concerned about. Right now Global Warming is more a kin to a political rally of extremist politicians and Hollywood activist than a real life threat to the planet Earth.
