I must admit first off that I have never been a big fan of online polls, but I understand many regular readers here at the 'Hutch Report' are. So for the next 30 days there will be an online poll on this blog where readers can vote for the person they believe should be the next President of the United States. The poll can be found on any 'Hutch Report' page and is located about half way down the page to the far left. The choices available for this online poll are: Hillary Clinton, John McCain, Barack Obama and none of the above.
Since regular voting locations and sample polling companies usually never give voters a choice of 'none of the above' I thought it might be a good idea to add that choice just to see what happens. This new presidential online poll will stay active for the next 30 days and at the end of that time period it will be interesting to see which candidate comes out on top. This presidential online poll has only been active for a few hours and already 30 people have voted for their favorite candidate to be the next President of the United States.
Any person visiting the 'Hutch Report' will be able to track the online results, even without casting a vote of your own. The votes that are casted are in real time, so make sure and bookmark my homepage and check as often as you like to see how the voting is going. At the end of this election season it will be interesting to look back and see if my regular readers got the election outcome right or if you guys were way off base with your predictions. I ask, as a courtesy that everyone only vote one time so this new 'Hutch Report' poll is as actuate as possible.
Right now I am leaning toward voting for Barack Obama in November if he is at the top of the democratic ticket. However, it is still early in this election year and also there is a possibility that at the end of the democratic party's process that somehow Barack Obama will end up getting the nomination unfairly taken away from him. If you know others that have a strong opinion about the upcoming presidential election who might want to vote too, please tell them about this live, real time vote at the 'Hutch Report'. In many ways I am very optimistic about this election year if for no other reason that millions of people that have never voted before are showing up at the polls and letting their voice be heard.
