Is There Something Wrong With The Prosecutions Case Against Casey Anthony?

For weeks now, I have looked at the prosecutions murder case against Casey Anthony as being pretty much 'open and shut'. While I understand that no murder trial is ever that easy once a jury is seated, the evidence against Casey Anthony seems to be overwhelming.

Then today, I read that police want to question a guy by the name of Dominic Casey who is a private investigator that has previously been hired by Casey Anthony's attorney and also Cindy and George Anthony back when everyone was trying to find Caylee alive.

From my shade tree point of view, I wonder why the Orange County police are interested in talking to less than a bit player in this case and if the states evidence is really 'rock solid' then why are they still beating the bushes and trying to talk to a private investigator about what he might have learned months ago? I would like to think that the Orange County DA would be moving forward quickly to put Casey on trial for murder, instead of beating the bushes in an attempt to try and obtain privileged testimony from a little known private investigator.
