A friend email me last week and said that I should look into the practices of a non-profit organization by the name of Kid Finders. This organization is suppose to spend it's time and resources searching for missing children, but according to a TV report from Orlando - to date Dennis Milstead and his organization called Kid Finders has yet to locate one single child.
To make matters worse, Dennis Milstead has been arrested two different times. Once he was arrested for assault and the other time for impersonating a police officer. While the name Kid Finders seems to indicate that a non profit organization is interested in finding missing children - sometimes organizations and the people that run them are not what they claim to be.
If you would like to read and watch video of Kid Finders leader getting physical with a reporter that showed up to ask him questions, just click here. Also at that same location, you can read more about Dennis Milstead and his non profit called Kid Finders - which seems to be more effective at raising money than at finding missing children.

Easter Will Always Remind Me Of GOP Interference In Terri Schiavo Case
Just about four years ago, there was a major event that changed the GOP forever. In an attempt to appeal to far right social conservatives in the Republican Party, former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay and President George W. Bush decided to use the US government to overturn the State of Florida's legal right through their court system to allow Terri Schaivo to die with dignity. For me, Easter 2005 will always be the time when I decided that the GOP was no longer the party for me and slowly over the past four years I have moved away from the modern day GOP for good.
I first became a Republican in high school as Ronald Reagan was beginning his fight to bring conservative principles back to the Republican Party. While I still believe in the principles that President Reagan fought for, the new GOP that is lead mainly by social conservatives does not represent the party that I feel in love with decades ago. Instead, modern day Republican Party leaders more resemble TV evangelists than as politicians that want smaller government and lower taxes.
During the 2008 presidential election, I discovered that not only did I feel negatively toward the current leaders of the GOP, but millions of other former Republicans did as well because Barack Obama won last years election in a landslide. For me, the Terri Schiavo Case back in 2005 cause me to rethink my Republican thinking and since that time I have not found any GOP leader that has caused me to want to return to the 'Grand Old Party'.

Justice Department Drops All Charges Against Former Senator Stevens Of Alaska
Talk about a miscarriage of justice, recently the US Justice Department asked a federal judge to throw out the conviction of former US Senator Stevens of Alaska because they withheld critical evidence from the defense in his corruption trial. That trial ended with a conviction. To add insult to injury, Senator Stevens was put on trial for corruption, while at the same time he was running for reelection to the US Senate. A reelection bid that he lost.
Senator Steven is a Republican and it was a Republican controlled Justice Department that did all of this to him. Now, under the Obama administration - Senator Stevens' conviction has been thrown out and the new Justice Department is not going to put him on trial again. In my gut, I believe Senator Stevens must have angered the Bush administration in some way and they may have used the Justice Department to extract some kind of revenge against the man.
While wrong doing by the Bush administration has not been proven at this time, I would bet anything that someone/somewhere is going to look into this issue and report their findings back to the American people. During the Bush administration there were several occasions when people accused them of using the justice system as a tool for revenge when people did not follow the Bush party line. It will be interesting to see if Senator Stevens was also a victim of a vindictive Bush administration now that a new Justice Department has admitted to wrong doing and asked the judge in that case to throw out Stevens' conviction.

Adults Act Like Children On April Fools Day
When I was a child, April 1st (April Fools Day) was always fun because as kids we were allowed to tell big lies and get away with them on that one day. However, when I became a man - April 1st was just like any other day until I discovered computers and started to log onto the Internet.
While the Internet is a wonderful tool that helps all of us keep up to date with events and news around us - in a strange way the Internet also allows each of us to still be a child down deep inside. April 1st (April Fools Day) is a perfect example of how the Internet feeds the deep rooted need inside of most people to remain a child.
Every year on April 1st (April Fools Day), both kids and adults alike spread tall tails around the Internet via email and also on websites in an attempt to try to get average people to believe their lies. That same thing is happening today and it will happen again next year as well. I really think that the older we all get, the daily stress we deal with in life causes us to just want to be a kid again and that is why April Fools Day is so important to so many people around the world.

Jose Baez Wants A Private Meeting With Judge Stan Strickland
Sometimes I find myself just scratching my head at Casey Anthony's lead attorney Jose Baez. Yesterday, Baez filed a motion with the court to seek a private meeting with Judge Strickland that would also exclude members of the State of Florida prosecution team.
Just last week, a man that was convicted of a crime filed an appeal that claimed that Jose Baez did not represent him properly at his trial because he (Baez) was more interested in trying to surprise the prosecution and the judge at his trial rather than presenting evidence that might have cleared the man of the charges against him.
Is Jose Baez up to his old tricks again? I don't know, but if were Casey Anthony I would be concerned that my attorney wants to have a private meeting with the judge in her case, which will most certainly anger members of the State of Florida prosecution team. I just can't help but think that Jose Baez is up to some kind of 'smart by half' trick which he hopes to pull on the prosecution and Judge Stan Strickland.
