While National Public Radio (NPR) receives very little money from the US federal government, the small sum it does receive should be cut after their wrongful firing of Juan Williams. Conservatives have rightly believed for a long time now that NPR is nothing more than a tax supported mouth piece for liberals.
Like millions of other people, I have watched the video of Juan Williams appearance on Fox News where he told Bill O'Reilly that he gets nervous when a group of people dress in Muslim clothing start to board a plane that he is traveling on. For that truthful comment, NPR fired Juan Williams and that fact proves what conservatives have been saying all along about National Public Radio.
The good news is that it did not take Juan Williams long to land on his feet, because the very next day - Fox News increased his contract with that network and gave him more responsibility and on-air face time at the network. NRP screwed up "big time" when it fired Juan Williams this week for speaking the truth, but my feeling is that Juan Williams will still be around long after the airwaves of NPR have gone silent.
