Tonight, I watched Nancy Grace on HLN talk about the case of missing child Kyron Horman. Sadly, there was little breaking news to report - so Nancy spent most of her time talking about herself and her kids. Without really going on the record to say so, it's pretty clear to me and other people who have been following this case believe that Kyron Horman is dead and his stepmom Terri Horman is probably his killer. I did have a funny gut feeling while I was listening to the statement delivered by Kyron Horman's family today, that I had seen this all before in the Casey Anthony case before Caylee's body was found. On most of the major broadcast and cable news networks, they only presented a small portion of the statement released to the media today by Kyron Horman's birth-mother. Hot Dogs/Apple Pie/Twilight Saga (Eclipse) For 4th Of July Weekend

Millions of fans lined up to catch the midnight showing of a new movie called "Eclipse", which is the latest in the "Twilight Saga" on Wednesday night. If the success of "Eclipse" is anything like the previous Twilight Saga movies, it will earn well over $100 million at the US box office during the 4th of July weekend. The 4th of July has always been known best for delicious hot dogs and apple pie - but in 2010 it will also be known as the weekend when millions of girls lined up at a movie theater near them to pick sides in a Vampire contest. With the already super success of "Eclipse" in the Twilight movie saga, there will be even more pressure put on Hollywood to continue the practice of opening more movie sequels in the future, rather than putting out untested movie concepts. The Twilight series of movies are a proven gold mine not only because they earn hundreds of millions of dollars at the box office and in DVD rentals and sales - but unlike other movie series that depend on major name branded stars to succeed. The cast of Twilight movies are made up of relatively unknown actors and actresses, which do not demand multi-million dollar salaries for their participation in the project.

From Little Kid To A Young Man (Elian Gonzalez)

I guess it just proves the point that as we age, time moves faster. For me, it does not seem like it has been 10 years since Elian Gonzalez was front page news in the United States and Cuba. Elian Gonzalez became the poster child of both Cuban dissidents who mainly live in the Miami, Fl area and Castro supporters in Cuba when he was found floating alone on an inter-tube on Thanksgiving Day 1999. Over the next few months, Elian Gonzalez was used by Cuban Americans who wanted to see the overthrow of Fidel Castro and his communist government - but in the end it was Castro himself who used Elian for his own political purposes when the United States forcibly returned Elian Gonzalez to his father in Cuba. Elian Gonzalez has grown up to be a nice looking and soft spoken young man. To mark the 10 year anniversary of Elian's return to his father in Cuba, the government there went all out to show just how happy and well adjusted Elian has become over the years. Certainly, Elian's family in Miami will disagree with the Cuban governments exploitation of this young man for their own political purposes - but in the end, Elian's future was decided a long time ago by former President Bill Clinton and Attorney General of the United States, at the time, Janet Reno - when they returned Elian Gonzalez back to the hands of Fidel Castro.

Is Wall Street Unsafe For Regular Investors?

The second quarter of 2010 found Wall Street down more than 10%. So has Wall Street become unsafe for regular investors? I think that it has and new legislation recently passed by Congress is not going to give regular, everyday, investors the kind of confidence they need to get back into the stock market. For almost 20 years now, Wall Street has been allowed by law to pretty much do whatever it wants when it comes to laws and rules. That open ended and unfair system between fat cats on Wall Street and the US federal government has turned what use to be a sound investment strategy of buying common stock on Wall Street into nothing less than a crap shoot and nothing more than a casino experience. Right now, the people who know how to play the financial system are stealing regular Americans money and their hefty campaign contributions to Members of Congress are allowing them to still have an unfair advantage over the regular Joe investor. There is a big storm brewing between the American people and Washington politicians of both major political party's when election day rolls around again this November.
