Tale Of Two Teams | Dallas Cowboys & Texas Rangers

Most years when the first of November rolls around, all the sports talk in Texas is about the Dallas Cowboys. However, in 2010 - few fans use the words Dallas Cowboys without adding some colorful negative words surrounding them. Monday night, the Texas Rangers lost their bid to become the 2010 World Series Champions as the San Francisco Giants defeated them at home in Arlington, Texas. In 2010, many Dallas Cowboys fans have deserted the team as poor coaching and owner leadership has let a team of Superstar players drift into a world of disgrace.

The Texas Rangers may have lost the World Series on Monday night, but few Rangers fans feel negatively about their team - because the Rangers played their hearts out during every single game. Now compare the 2010 Dallas Cowboys to the Texas Rangers. Instead, of taking to the football field each week with a mission to win - the Cowboys are not only disgracing themselves every Sunday on national television, they are also causing some of their fans to consider wearing brown paper bags over their heads during each game in shame.

In 2010, the Texas Rangers have shown the people of Texas what it feels like to have a national championship caliber team in the state. During this same year, the Dallas Cowboys have given fans the complete opposite feeling as they show little energy or aptitude as they take to the field of play. Tomorrow (Tuesday) is election day across the State of Texas and if Jerry Jones was on the ballot to remain the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, his chances of winning would be considerably less than a long term democratic Member of Congress who voted for Obama Care.

Win Or Lose | The 2010 Texas Rangers Will Be Remembered

The 2010 World Series has not started the way most Texas Rangers fans had hoped, but I believe that the 2010 Texas Rangers will be remember for years to come. Why? First of all, MLB is not the mainstream professional sport in Texas as it is in many other parts of the country. However, as the Texas Rangers entered the 2010 MLB playoffs - there were no seats to be found during their home-games as they walked with ease to win the 2010 American League Pennant.

Then like everyone else, I believed the Texas Rangers would win against the San Francisco Giant easily after dominating the New York Yankees for the American League championship. Everyone now knows that the San Francisco Giants have a great baseball team and there is no doubt in my mind that they (the Giants) are not only a better team than the Yankees, but so far they are also a better team than the Texas Rangers.

The odds of the Texas Rangers coming back from a 3-1 deficit in the 2010 World Series are large indeed. However, even if the team is not successful in their next two games against the Giants - hundreds of thousands of Texans now have a new sport to follow and that fact will keep the 2010 Texas Rangers in the minds of fans for many years to come. Major League Baseball (MLB) has a huge image problem and frankly the game itself can be very boring to watch at times. However, fan support for MLB has now officially come to Texas and that fact will help the Rangers continue to grow their team in the years to come.

Justice Delayed Is Justice Denied (Casey Anthony Case)

Over the years, I have written about Casey Anthony and the dysfunctional life she lead before her two year old daughter (Caylee) was murdered and she (Casey) was arrested on capital murder charges for her death. While there are thousands of people who enjoy following the daily drips of evidence released to the public in this case, there is a good chance that in the case of Casey Anthony that "justice delayed" has turned into "Justice Denied".

Casey Anthony's attitude toward her now dead daughter Caylee has always been dismissive at best when asked about the circumstances that lead up to her daughters disappearance. No official or outside sources who have investigated first the disappearance and then murder of Caylee Anthony have ever questioned the facts that prove that Casey Anthony is indeed guilty of murdering Caylee. That is why I believe that "justice delayed is justice denied" is applicable to the Casey Anthony murder case in Florida.

What Casey Anthony's attorneys Jose Baez and Cheney Mason have done to date to defend their client is nothing short of delaying the inevitable when Casey Anthony is held responsible for the murder that she committed. Too many times, the rights of the accused are placed higher in our system of justice than the weak and innocent like Caylee Anthony. I believe, Jose Baez and Cheney Mason know their client is guilty and that is why they are using every measure available to delay the final justice that will most certainly befall Casey Anthony at some future date.
