Another woman came out of the woodwork on Monday claiming to have had a long term affair with GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain. For the past several months I have defended Mr. Cain against these attacks, because I believe they were politically motivated. However, this new accuser seems to have evidence that she carried on a long term relationship with Cain and I am starting to wonder if Herman Cain is just another Bill Clinton in Republican clothing? The United States of America is facing big challenges over the next four years and the last thing we need is another woman chaser in the White House who continually lies about his bad conduct.

Six people were likely killed Wednesday night when a small plane crashed in Phoenix, Az. From the video below - it is easy to see a big explosion as this aircraft crashed into a mountain. It's terrible any time a plane crashes, but coming only hours before Thanksgiving makes it that much worse. Included among the likely dead are two small children.

In Waco, Texas last night - one of the greatest football games in Baylor University history was played against Oklahoma University. Ranked at No. 5 in the nation, OU was heavily favored over the Baylor Bears. However, by the end of the game Baylor took control of the field and won one of the biggest games in school history. Baylor starting quarterback Robert Griffin III played one of the best games of his life and by the final buzzer, announcers on TV and fans in the stands were calling for him to win the Heisman Trophy in 2011. Congratulations Baylor Bears.

It was learned today, that GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain has asked for and been granted protection from the US Secret Service. There was no reason given for why this request was made by either the candidate or US Homeland Security. It is not uncommon for president candidates to be protected by the Secret Service even before being named as a party's nominee for President. I am not sure why Herman Cain was granted Secret Service protection, but I am sure there was a good reason why Homeland Security approved his request.

Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub's injury to his foot has taken him out of the game for the rest of the season. The Texans are off to a good start in 2011, but who knows what will happen now? Lisfranc is the name of the injury Matt Schaub suffered and the recover time for such an injury is longer than the rest of the NFL season. In Texas, most NFL fans follow both the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Texans. In 2011, the Cowboys got off to a slow start - while the Houston Texans soared to the top of their division. However, the NFL teaches all of us that the season is not over before the playoffs begin and the Superbowl is played. The Houston Texans could find themselves in a sinking ship now that Schaub is out of the season.

There have been very few good reasons to write positive stories about the Dallas Cowboys in 2011 - but on Sunday November 13 2011, that all changed. In yesterdays game against the Buffalo Bills, the Dallas Cowboys looked like a Superbowl caliber team for the first time in many years. Even starting quarterback Tony Romo played like the leader fans have been hoping to see for many seasons. I have been on record as being very negative about the 2011 Dallas Cowboys and quarterback Tony Romo this season. However, when the Cowboys decisively defeated the Bills yesterday - the one word that kept running through my mind was Superbowl winner in 2011.

Cancer fighter and survivor Evelyn Lauder died today. She was 75-years-old. The official cause of death for Evelyn Lauder was non-genetic ovarian cancer. In video below, you may watch as a medical center named for her is dedicated in NYC. Evelyn Lauder was the creator of the pink ribbons used to celebrate those who have survived cancer. May this fine woman rest in peace.
Thousands of Dallas Cowboys fans were angry on Sunday, November 13 2011, when CBS television decided to show the Houston Texans on TV instead of the Dallas Cowboys/Buffalo Bills game. While it is easy to blame CBS or even cable systems in College Station and other south Texas cities - I think it is the NFL that sets these TV rules. I know a bunch of folks are angry at Sudden Link cable and CBS television because of which game was carried, but I'm pretty sure it was not their fault.

It seems like every other day there is another debate featuring the GOP candidates for President. Tonight, Saturday November 11 2011, there was another Republican debate that was televised on CBS TV. If you missed Saturday nights debate live and would like to watch a full replay - simply click the video box below. At the present time the top three candidates, according to the polls, are Mitt Romney / Herman Cain / Newt Gingrich.

New polls were released this weekend that show GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain is being hurt by the sexual harassment charges made against him. For the better part of two weeks, Cain was able to rise above all of these allegations - but in recent days almost half of his public support his disappeared. The polls clearly show that Herman Cain has been hurt most among Republican women and female voters who call themselves independent. Time will tell if Cain will be able to recreate his momentum leading into the first primaries in January.

If there is one thing most Americans can agree upon it's that political correctness has gotten out-of-control in this great nation. GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain has tapped into that frustration and used it to his advantage in his quest for the 2012 GOP nomination for President. In a recent political rally, Herman Cain took political correctness and turned it on its ear. If you would like to watch how Herman Cain did that, simply click the video box below.
While many in the main stream media had all but declared the candidacy of Herman Cain dead and gone, the man himself continues to fight on. Last night, Cain appeared in a debate on CNBC where the audience booed a questioned asked by one of the moderators about sexual harassment claims against him. Then today, Herman Cain hired an attorney who specializes in fighting people who make false claims against innocent people. Rather than Herman Cain dropping out of the GOP race for President, he instead continues to fight against powers on both the left and right who just wish he would just go away.

In 30 years of following politics, I have never seen one candidate rise so fast and fall just as quickly as Texas Governor Rick Perry. In Wednesday nights debate, he again 'stepped in it' when he could not name the three federal agencies he would do away with if elected President. Hopefully, the folks who gave Rick Perry money for his campaign will stop picking up the telephone when his fund raisers call back for more money. I have lived in Texas all of my life and like many other Texans, I knew that Rick Perry was not the real deal several years ago. Sadly, Perry himself has not figured that out as of yet - but the American people have.
It was an interesting debate tonight as GOP candidates for President talked about the issues on CNBC. Most of the talk going into the debate surrounded the numerous women who have claimed that over the years Herman Cain sexually harassed them. As the question was being asked of Herman Cain about these allegations, it was easy to hear the crowd starting to boo. However, once he defended himself - there was a loud cheer from most of the voters. If you would like to hear Herman Cain's statement defending himself against sexual harassment charges, click the video box below.
Tonight's GOP presidential candidates debate on CNBC begins at 9pm (8pm CST). There will likely be a large number of viewers checking out tonight's debate on CNBC simply because some folks will want to hear what candidate Herman Cain has to say about the sexual harassment charges against him. For the past four weeks, Herman Cain has continued to rise in the polls and even after the public has been made aware of sexual harassment charged against him, his standing with Republican voters has not diminished. The networks that make up NBC News are generally liberal leaning, so it will be interesting to see how they handle the charges that have been made against Herman Cain. Once again, tonight's debate (11/9/2011) on CNBC begins at 9pm EST.

It's easy to see why the American public increasingly likes Herman Cain. On Tuesday, Mr. Cain stood before members of the news media and outright denied claims made against him from four women who say that he sexually harassed them. Unlike normal Washington D.C. politicians who always parse their words in a way that it's impossible to understand exactly what they are saying, Herman Cain continues to show up and speak what he considers to be the truth without hesitation. Members of the USA news media should look closely at what makes Herman Cain a popular politician. Will all these charges against him bring Herman Cain down? Maybe, but at least for right now he is holding his own against the rest of the GOP field.
Most of you know that I have been backing Herman Cain. However, there was a little reported story in the news on Monday that made me doubt my support of his candidacy for President of the United States. Rather than focusing on the mainstream medias obsession of another sex scandal against Cain, I instead started looking into the story that Cain's campaign manager had funneled thousands of dollars from a non profit organization he headed into Herman Cain's campaign for President. If this story turns out to be true, Herman Cain is finished as the front runner for the GOP nomination. While the mainstream media continues to look for anything involving sex to bring down Herman Cain, in reality it could be an illegal act that seals his fate - if proven to be true.

One of the all time great fighters, Joe Frazier, died today. He was 67-years-old. During the height of his career, Joe Frazier was one of the best boxers on the face of the Earth. In memory of Joe Frazier's death, I have posted a video link where you can watch Frazier fight Muhammad Ali on live television back in 1974. When this fight took place, I was in high school - but I still remember all the media attention surrounding heavy weight championship fights between Frazier and Ali. May Joe rest in peace.

Most leaders and political pundits in the GOP are completely against Herman Cain's popularity in the Republican Party. Truth be told, there is a huge disconnect between GOP conservative leaders in Washington and voters around the country who want an outsider to run and win the election to be the President of the United States. Voters only need to read popular conservative publications and watch the Fox News Channel to see what mainstream Republicans think of Herman Cain and via proxy the Tea Party movement in general. There are conservative exceptions, but they are based outside the day in and day out GOP inter-circle in Washington. Over the next two months, Republican voters will learn just how much Washington D.C. conservative dislike Herman Cain as they take daily potshots at the man and try to bring him down in favor of a Washington insider who will tow the current party-line.
I have a feeling in my gut that the powers that be in the GOP will find someway to screw Herman Cain out of the nomination for President of the United States. If and when that happens, Cain should run for President as an Independent and if he does I think he could win that race in a landslide. Not only would at least 50% of GOP voters line up in support of Cain, 50% of democrats might do as too. There are few things that Democrats and Republicans agree on these days, but one of them is the fact that Washington is broken and neither major political party will fix it. Herman Cain is a man of the people who really believes that conservative values are the way to a better life. After watching national conservative pundits line up against Cain and Fox News Channel declare him all but finished, running as an Independent candidate might just elect Herman Cain as our next President of the United States.
A new poll was released over the weekend which showed that GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain has been hurt by allegations that he sexually harassed at least two women when he was the CEO of the National Restaurant Association. In the video below, Herman Cain talks about how hurt his wife was when these allegation were made again more than a decade after she first heard about them. Even though Herman Cain was hurt in the polls by these old allegations, he is still leading the pack of GOP candidates for the Republican nomination for President. I am glad to see that Cain is talking more about what happened back then, because the USA news media would never let this story rest until he did.
As you may have already heard, there was a major earthquake that shook the central part of Oklahoma on Saturday night. In fact, there were dozens of earthquakes that occurred both before and after the major earthquake that hit around 11pm CST Saturday night. I live about 250 miles away from Oklahoma City in Central Texas, but no shaking was felt here. However, there have now been reports from as far away as Wisconsin of the ground shaking from this earthquake. In the video below, you may see how much damage was done to one persons home not far from the epicenter of Saturdays earthquake in Central Oklahoma.
I watched about one hour of the 90 minute debate between Herman Cain and Newt Gingrich on Saturday night. For the most part, I was very disappointed in the debate format because the two politicians in charge of moderating the debate seemed more interested in promoting themselves than they did in letting Herman and Newt debate each other. I am currently supporting Herman Cain for the GOP nomination, but from my standpoint it was Gingrich that won the debate because of his grasp of the issues involved in next years election. However, Herman Cain did not do a bad job and with the exception of saying that people watch newspapers - I did not notice any major mess ups. I still believe that the 2012 GOP nomination is Herman Cain's to lose and time will tell if he stops making mistakes and starts acting like the front runner that he has become.
About one hour ago, a major earthquake shook folks in four different states, with the worst effects being felt in Oklahoma between Tulsa and OKC. On Facebook, some friends of mine from the Texas panhandle said they felt the shaking there, as well. From initial reports, last nights earthquake was of a magnitude 5.6 and its effects were felt as far away as Illinois and Lubbock, Texas. It is very uncommon for earthquakes to take place in Oklahoma or Texas for that matter, but when they do occur they are generally strong and felt for long distances because of the soil structure. An Oklahoma television station had just began their 10 o'clock news coverage when last nights earthquake struck and you may watch the video from that newscast in the box below.

If my guess is right, the ratings on C-SPAN tonight will be higher than normal as two of the top conservative contenders for the GOP nomination for President will debate each other. At 8pm (7pm Central) Herman Cain and Newt Gingrich will debate in a style most Americans are unfamiliar with. Basically, the two presidential candidates will be allowed to debate each other without a moderator involved in the questioning. Tonight's debate between Herman Cain and Newt Gingrich will last 90 minutes and with a wide open format voters should learn more about these two candidates views and their ability to hold their own against an opponent.
It just burns up the powers that be in the media when a man of the people candidate like Herman Cain continues to rise in the polls, even when they try to lower his standing with the American people by sensationalizing stories about him that date back two decades. For the most part, conservative voters in the Republican Party are standing firmly behind Herman Cain and against the Fox News Channel which is biased against him. What Washington politicians and media pundits don't understand is that the American people don't what more of the same when it comes to a President. Millions of Americans will take a flawed Herman Cain over a polished politician as their next President in a heartbeat.
Like Clarence Thomas before him, GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain is learning that liberal politicians do not take favorably to an African-American candidate for high office that does not tow the democratic party line. I believe that is the main reason why many voters in the GOP are standing their ground as media liberals and even the Fox New Channel try to bring this man down. Most Americans do not believe that liberals or conservatives have benefited this great nation in the recent past and that is why I believe there is a good chance that Herman Cain will be elected as the next President of the United States. Most Americans from both major political party's want real change and not just more of the same.
I am old enough to remember when Ronald Reagan successfully ran for President two different times. What many younger members of the news media do not understand is this: there are some politicians that do not raise and fall according to the normal rules and standards of political campaigns. There is no doubt that the public continued to support Ronald Reagan even when bad stories were reported about him in the news media. Could it be that Herman Cain, like Ronald Reagan, will be a 'Teflon President"? After watching Herman Cain continue to rise in the polls as his political opponents throw everything they can think of at him, I am starting to believe the answer to that question is yes.

Everyday, one of the anchors on Fox News takes a cheap shot at GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain. Yesterday, it was Sheppard Smith's turn as he suggested that Mr. Cain was not really interested in winning the GOP nomination for President - but instead was only interested in selling books. It makes perfect sense to me that CNN and MSNBC would be against Herman Cain, but what is behind Fox News daily attacks on the man? To me, it seems like Fox News is backing Newt Gingrich all the way as their candidate and that possibility is driving me nuts.
The tabloid "Star Magazine" has released a picture of the woman who claims to be the baby momma of singing sensation Justin Bieber. From the cover of their latest magazine, there is a picture of this 20-year-old woman and the baby she claims was fathered by Beiber. Justin Bieber's representatives are denying that he is the father of this child, but most people are waiting for the paternity test to come back before they decide who is telling the truth.

It's clear to me that many liberal democrats are scared to death of running against Herman Cain as the GOP nominee for President of the United States. That said, I believe there are some mainstream Republicans who are just as scared of Cain and I would not be surprised - if the current allegations of sexual harassment against Herman Cain came from GOP operatives, instead of liberal Democrats. Like many of you, I like Herman Cain because he speaks the truth - instead of politically correct jargon both Republicans and Democrats are famous for. I still like Herman Cain and nothing I have read so far changes that opinion.
