Portland Mall Shooting Victims Killed For No Reason

It has been slightly over 24 hours since a young gunmen in a suburb of Portland, Oregon killed two innocent people. Every year it seems like more of these senseless murders occur and no one really knows what to do about them. Political pundits on the left always point to more gun control as the solution to this problem. However, most Americans firmly believe in the Second Amendment and they do not want to see the U.S. Federal government inhibit their constitutional right to bear arms.

Is this really a gun issue or something completely different? It is simplistic to believe crazed individuals would stop murdering innocent victims, if the right to bear a arms was taken away. Even before guns were invented, hundreds of years ago, there were unstable people killing others by whatever means necessary. One only needs to read the Holy Bible to learn that murder has been linked to human behavior since the beginning of time.

It angers me when liberal gun control activists use mass murder to further their political objectives. For decades, I have not understood why far left radicals are so hell bent on taking away all Americans rights under the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Many people still believe President Barack Obama's main political objective is to take guns away from honest, law abiding, U.S. citizens. Nothing he has done to date proves this is a major issue for him, but still many millions of Americans look at his party affiliation and believe down deep inside he probably prefers gun control over constitutional protections built into the U.S. Constitution.

Over the next few days, liberal political talking heads will be filling the broadcast and cable news airways with their vitriol blaming yesterday's events in Portland on the rights law abiding citizens have to own guns. Murderers will always find a way to murder. If a person desires to kill another, they will do so whether guns are available or not.
